Position: Financial Analyst
Location: Mississauga

Our client in the pharmaceutical industry is looking for a Financial Analyst to join their team in their Mississauga location. The primary function of the Financial Analyst is managing all aspects of A/R, sales deductions, rebates, chargebacks, penalties, damages and returns. As well as track freight and distribution spending, warranty replacements and expired inventories. Investigate spikes in charges and irregular activities.

Responsibilities include:

- Prepare journal entries and assist in month-end close
- Review monthly forecasts and ensure consistency with actuals
- Manage quarterly and annual closing, post/review accruals to ensure the accuracy of Financial Statements
- Perform account reconciliation
- Perform Balance Sheet Review with management
- Handle planning and forecasting
- Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to local and area management teams that support decision-making process
- Identify and implement opportunities for continued improvement and simplification of financial and business processes
- Analyze detailed financial forecasts incorporating history, trends, and current business/market information
- Analyze, forecast, reconcile, and prepare reports on projects including supplier allocations, new projects involving multiple different departments, payment terms, logistics costs, inventory, etc.
- Drive process improvements and reporting simplification

About you:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness in tackling challenges
- Good communication skills and a flair to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail, data integrity, and accuracy

Your experience includes:

- At least 3 years\' experience in a similar capacity accounting and/or finance experience
- Bachelor\'s degree in finance, accounting, and/or related equivalent
- MBA, CPA, CMA is preferred
- Experience utilizing an SAP (ERP system), and proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Microsoft Excel
