Job Description

Vancouver Film & TV Tours is looking to add a few guides to our team for the Hollywood North Experience walking tour for the upcoming busy tourist season (July-October and potentially beyond). This is a 3 hour tour through Downtown Vancouver visiting popular filming locations. Guides will educate the public on the booming film industry and show clips from projects on a tablet and offer commentary while being a friendly and entertaining local providing insight and recommendations for the city. Guide Traits

• An working actor or has worked in the film industry for 2 years + (THIS IS REQUIRED)
• Passionate and Knowledgable
• Knows Vancouver well
• Reliable, Good Communicator
• Tech Savvy
• Has a pulse on the local film industry
• Confident, friendly and ENERGETIC
• Ability to lead large groups of all sizes, ages and backgrounds
• Ability to work mornings, weekends and on short notice
• Hardworking and wanting to supplement their monthly income
• Able to comfortably walk 4km

Working as a tour guide or performer is an asset. Tasks:

• Arrive early with all equipment to meet and locate guests at the meeting point before each tour
• Be available for scheduled tours each week/be on call for tours (flexible schedule)
• Take guests and visit each pre-determined stop and watch the clips and add commentary and share your passion of the shows/movies
• Discuss film industry in Vancouver with passion and interest
• Offer commentary on the areas you walk through as a Vancouver local such as some history and recommendations
• Entertain the guests, make sure they are having fun and are all accommodated for
• Lead a few interactive activities on the tour for the guests
• Cater each tour to the guests specific needs and interests.
• Lead guests back to the original meeting point on time.
