Overview

We are seeking a Filling Line Operator with mechanical experience to operate and maintain packaging machinery in our production facility. You will ensure smooth operation of packaging lines, perform routine mechanical troubleshooting, and support preventive maintenance to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.

This position is aligned with

NOC 72400 - Construction millwrights and industrial mechanics

(mechanical maintenance and repair).

Key Responsibilities

Operate and monitor filling & packaging machinery, ensuring smooth and continuous production

Perform routine mechanical adjustments and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime

Conduct preventive maintenance and minor repairs on packaging equipment

Maintain accurate production and maintenance logs

Follow safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and quality standards

Collaborate with maintenance, quality control, and operations teams to optimize line performance

Assist in installation and setup of new packaging machinery as required

Qualifications

Secondary school diploma or equivalent required

2+ years experience operating filling & packaging machinery

Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance skills

Knowledge of liquid fillers, cappers, conveyors, motors, pneumatics, and hydraulics related to packaging lines

Certifications such as TDG, WHMIS, and First Aid considered assets

Trade certification or apprenticeship in industrial mechanics, millwright, or equivalent is an asset
