• Meet, greet and thank customers and provide friendly, informed service to them.
• Guide customers to the location of requested items.
• Suggest value-added and related products by actively listening to customer needs.
• Locate products in the store and warehouse.
• Respond to and handle customer inquiries, requests and concerns in a timely manner, over the phone and in person.
• Learn about new products on a regular basis.
• Keep up to date with in-store promotions, deals and product locations.
• Participate in meetings and training as required.
• Ensure that your department is customer ready at all times.
• Identify low stock levels and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Work safely and report any observed or potential hazards immediately.
• Complete other tasks when required.

What You'll Need:

• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Basic math and typing skills.
• Comfort in learning or experience with retail computer systems and tools.
• Ability to take direction and complete tasks in a team setting, or individually.
• Ability to adapt and cope with challenging and changing situations.
• Ability to consistently provide professional customer service, including in situations of conflicts.
• Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours, lifting and carrying items unassisted, using a ladder, and twisting, turning, reaching. Merchandise items may vary in weight from "light" to "heavy".
• Strong belief in the Canadian Tire values of honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Positive attitude, punctuality and solid work ethic.

The scheduled shift time for this role is 5:00 am - 1:30 pm. Successful candidates will be able to work a variable schedule that includes weekdays and weekends.Working duties include use of retail equipment such as ladders, pallet jacks, and dollies.
