File Maintenance Clerk

Job Description

The Pincher Creek Co-op is currently accepting applications for a File Maintenance Clerk to join our team. This is a Temporary Part-Time position, and required to start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Hardware & Lumber Manager. The details of the responsibilities are as follows:

RESPONSIBILITIES:



Take an active role in the maintenance of accurate inventory cycle counts, assist in quarterly and year-end inventory. Participate and support internal and third-party audits as required for material inventory management. Must possess good computer skills to include use of TRC, TRONIA and MI-9. Must possess good communication skills for interaction with other team members and external customers. Stock shelves, counters and display areas with merchandise as required. To ensure that traffic areas are always kept clean and orderly. Maintain constant alert against unauthorized removal of merchandise. Assist with ordering and maintaining inventory in accordance with Co-op's policy. To advise Head Clerks or Supervisor of special or out-of-stock merchandise requested by customers. To become familiar with all products handled and to be alert to new product information so as to be able to properly inform members & customers and pass that information on to all staff. Must have good product knowledge of Lumber, Hardware & Farm Supplies. To be alert for slow-moving merchandise, duplication of lines, items out of stock, etc. Keep Department Managers informed. To assist the supervisor with ordering and maintaining inventories in accordance with Association policies. Must have good Co-op image, appearance, and attitude and be responsible at work and in the community. Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:



Cashier experience is an asset Experience in Lumber, Hardware and Farm Supplies Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment Willing to learn and advance in the Co-op Take directions from supervisors and willing to work Build positive relationships with Customers and Co-workers Clean, Neat Appearance and have positive attitude Able to work all shifts High School diploma or equivalent is required. Excellent customer service skills
