We like to provide you with ample time to enjoy your life. This position, as well as all field positions at Intricate, are typically 8 paid days on, and 6 days off rotation. This means you will enjoy 6\xe2\x80\x90days off every shift.

Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and competency with an hourly rate range of $28.00-$45.00, plus two weeks of annual vacation pay, paid out as a percentage each pay period.



The role of the Emissions Field Technician may be completing fugitive emission surveys using state-of-the-art FLIR OGI cameras including the new GX320, MSAPR NOx analyzers, and other sophisticated equipment. Collecting Flare, Fuel, and Vent data from Methane consumers such as pneumatics and heaters in the field, and supporting other aspects of service lines within Intricate as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete technical troubleshooting and field maintenance
  • Interpret blueprints, P&ID\xe2\x80\x99s, and schematics
  • Collect/validate fuel, flare, and vent data and understand the regulations to interpret data
  • Complete gas and liquid sampling
  • Apply AER Directive 060 / 017 regulations and BCER measurement guidelines to work habits and procedures
  • Understand high-level reporting delineation, regulatory requirements, and measurement best practices

  • Have flexibility in terms of schedule and travel requirements in Alberta, BC, and Saskatchewan (company vehicle provided)

  • Adapt quickly with the ability to manage and deal with ever-changing job requirements

  • Good mathematical, mechanical, and logical reasoning skills
Qualifications
  • Instrumentation experience or related upstream oil and gas industry experience
  • In-depth knowledge of field activities, upstream oil and gas facilities
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and company software applications
  • Required HSE training for fieldwork
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 operator\xe2\x80\x99s license or equivalent with clean driver abstract
  • Work in the vicinity of high-pressure lines and electrical systems
  • Experience working with basic hand tools
  • Optical Gas Imaging Certification Training will be considered an asset
  • Off-road oilfield driving experience is an asset
