Overview
We are looking for a motivated Field Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in geotechnical engineering and construction, who enjoys a mix of fieldwork, lab testing, and technical writing.
Responsibilities
Conduct site visits to support geotechnical investigations (soil sampling, test pits, borehole logging, and monitoring well installations).
Perform laboratory testing of soil and aggregate samples, including moisture content, Atterberg limits, grain size analysis, compaction, and other standard geotechnical tests.
Prepare clear and concise field notes and technical memos documenting findings.
Assist engineers with data collection, analysis, and report preparation.
Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with industry standards.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in civil engineering technology, environmental sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong written and verbal communication skills for memo and report preparation.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and lifting moderate weights.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.
Previous experience in geotechnical testing or construction is an asset but not required--training will be provided.

Pay: $65,000.00-$84,000.00 per year
