Position Overview

We are seeking a permanent, full-time Field Technician to join our Civic Construction team. The successful candidate will perform construction work on important capital projects involving the installation and repair of various types of municipal infrastructure.

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:


Completion of senior secondary school or its equivalent.

BC EOCP Level I Certificate in
a) Water Distribution Systems; and

b) Wastewater Collection Systems.


Minimum two years' previous experience in the installation and/or repair of water, and wastewater infrastructure.

Valid BC Driver's Licence - Class 5.




For new hires, and for those working in designated positions of trust, including those working directly with vulnerable persons, no formal offer of employment will be made until an applicant completes a police information check. A comprehensive benefits package is included with this position. This is a CUPE Local 900 position.
