The Opportunity

Clean Harbors is currently looking for an Industrial Services Field Supervisor to join the team. Reporting directly to the Field Operations Manager, this position will be responsible to direct and supervise field personnel activities, ensure materials and equipment is organized to meet the job requirements and engage in customer relations / interactions on assigned jobs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times while promoting a positive safety culture;
  • Schedules day-to-day equipment and manpower;
  • Assures that employees are properly trained and equipped;
  • Schedules up-coming work and organizes additional resources in conjunction with dispatch and project managers;
  • Maintains constant communication with customer and operations by keeping them informed of job progress and estimated time frames;
  • Attends all site related planning meetings;
  • Ensures clear verbal and written communication and all documentation (JHAs, FLRAs, log books, timesheets, and pre/post trip inspections) is accurate and meets regulatory and administrative requirements;
  • Maintains constant communication with dispatch and operations to update on job progress and estimated time frames when manpower and equipment will be released;
  • Ensures job reports/LEM's are accurate and signed off by the customer contact prior to leaving site;
  • Verifies post job requirements are met (i.e. decontamination and inspection of equipment, and communicating to dispatch when equipment will be released back to the fleet);
  • Trains, mentors new team members, provides guidance and development opportunities to support development;
What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?
  • Minimum of 3 years of previous supervisory experience;
  • Minimum of 5 years of Industrial Services experience (High Pressure Water/Vacuum);
  • Ability to manage and build a strong team;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills;
  • Ability to work Day Shifts, Night Shifts;
  • Must have valid class 1 or 3 license;
  • Ability to work in confined spaces;
  • Ability to work at heights;
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions;
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time;
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel);
