Job Overview

Finn Construction is looking for a survey tech to support our office and field staff. We use Magnet office and Topcon base and rovers. We have a variety of machines with gps control and use machine control gnss for most of our civil construction work which includes, Roads and Drianage Projects, Subdivision Work, Site Development, etc. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting field surveys to determine quantities, build files to be used during construction, submit quantities for billing and generally support our staff. This role requires a strong understanding of surveying techniques, data collection methods, and proficiency in relevant software applications and alot of walking with the rover.

Duties

Conduct land surveys using advanced surveying equipment and technology. Collect data on land features, boundaries, and elevations. Prepare detailed reports and maps based on survey findings. Collaborate with project teams to provide accurate survey data for construction projects. Utilize AutoCAD and CAD software to create precise drawings and plans. Maintain organized databases for survey data management.

Skills

Proficiency in CAD software applications. Strong knowledge of construction principles and practices. Excellent data collection skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage databases effectively for storing survey information.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
