Longhorn Geomatics Limited is growing again and pleased to announce that we are currently seeking a motivated Field Assistant to join our fast-growing company. We are seeing an increase in volume of work with our existing and new clients and have a position available for the right teammate who is eager to learn and grow and be a key member of our field operations. This opportunity may also involve assisting with our Portland, Oregon team in the US. Willing to consider applications with no prior industry experience. Applicants must keep in mind the position can be physically rigerous. Field staff work in all weather conditions.

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with the following list of criteria:

-Post secondary education

-Experience using Leica GPS RTK equipment

-Knowledge of ATS and field calculations

-Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task with different types of tasks requested by the party chief

-Ability to work out of town and overtime to meet client requests and deadlines as needed

-Valid drivers license and clean abstract

-Experience with ATV's

-Experience with construction surveying and calculations (i.e., curbs, gutters, sidewalks, road alignments, below ground infrastructure (waterlines, storm lines, sanitary sewers) would be considered an asset

-Valid safety tickets (H2S, First-Aid, WHMIS) considered an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
