Mountainview Safety Services Ltd. ('Mountainview' or 'the Company') is seeking Field Supervisor to join the Operations team.
This is a full-time in-person based in Dawson Creek or Fort St. John, B.C.
As a member of Mountainview's Supervisory team, the individual in this position is responsible for maintaining quality of services by ensuring field staff operate in accordance with contract terms, government regulations, and Mountainview expectations. Reporting to the Project Manager, the individual in this position is the primary contact for client field level representatives (e.g., consultants, OSRs, etc.). This individual answers customer questions and resolves field performance issues. This individual works closely with the Project Manager by overseeing the daily field operations and bringing issues to Management's attention.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Staff Supervision
Ensures any operational complaints from field staff are addressed in a timely manner (as soon as possible but no longer than 24 hours). Escalates any unresolvable issues to the Project Manager.
Ensures that any human resources issues, verbal or physical harassment, breaches of drug and alcohol policy, or any other situations that are sensitive in nature are brought to the attention of the Project Manager.
Follows up with field staff on deficiencies identified or brought to the attention of other departments, and documents efforts made to correct deficiencies.
Advises the Project Manager of any unresolved field staff issues and participates in developing and executing corrective actions.
Completes Field Level Audits/Inspections documenting any concerns or positives from the visit. Complies to the Audit Visit Matrix.
Client Field Representative Relations
Acts as the field representative between the client's field representatives and Mountainview.
Engages with client field representatives to build relationships and rapport.
Ensures that any operational complaints from consultants are addressed in a timely manner. Advises the Project Manager of any unresolvable client issues and participates in developing and executing corrective actions.
Responds to any complaints or concerns from client field representatives in a timely and professional manner (as soon as possible but no more than 24 hours), keeping them updated as the situation unfolds.
Visits field job locations as required to maintain client relations and for special events (e.g., barbeques, man down drills, etc.).
Deliveries
Delivers stock when routes align with required stock deliveries required. While it is not the Field Supervisor's sole responsibility for delivering stock, it is required to work together as a team and use efficiency to deliver stock when you are travelling in the area
Reporting
Completes a daily activity report and submits to the Project Manager prior to leaving for the day.
Follows all incident reporting protocols.
Ensures corrective actions from audits are communicated to the appropriate department.
Safety Compliance
Adheres to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring the safety of oneself, the vehicle, and other road users.
Reports vehicle incidents in a timely manner as per the Incident Reporting Policy.
Completes truck inspections daily. Cleans truck weekly or as per required
Coordinating truck services and maintenance with the Fleet Department at regular intervals.
Meetings
Attends the daily Operations meeting as per days scheduled on shift.
Attends requested check-in meetings with Project Manager, Operation Manager, and VP of Operations.
Attends and participates in pre-job kickoff meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Required
Standard First Aid Level C
H2S Alive
CSO
WHMIS
TDG
Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products.
Excellent analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Must live local to Dawson Creek or Fort St. John, B.C.
Preferred
Experience in the safety, oil and gas, or industrial sector is an asset.

The majority (95%) of work time will be spent in the field, the remainder in the office.
Pay
$75,000 to $90,000 per year

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday through Tuesday. Occasional overtime is expected and compensated for.
