Job Description

To oversee and manage pre and post installation of new home construction flooring projects in Calgary and surrounding communities.

Duties:

Pre-Check homes prior to installation to identify deficiencies for correction prior to flooring installation.

Work with our installation crews and builder supervisors to problem solve issues that arise during the installation process.

Communicate clearly with our office, installers, and customers about what is needed to keep work on track and get jobs completed.

Quality control - ensure that the quality of workmanship and materials is at or above Alberta Hardwood standards.

Review completed work and communicate issues and deficiencies to the appropriate people.

Follow all safety protocols and help monitor safety in the field.

Skills:

Experience in flooring, especially tile installation and QC is a highly valuable asset

Hands on skills, the ability to use tools and do minor repairs and touch ups is an asset

Construction experience, specifically related to flooring, whether residential, commercial or multi-family is an asset

Ability to read and understand scope of work documents, blue prints, change orders and design details

Communication skills - you need to be an exceptional communicator to be successful in this role. This job is all about communication. You will be dealing with many different people in many different roles and must be able to get your message across clearly and respectfully.

Wages are competitive, and based on experience. Vehicle allowance or company vehicle will be provided, as well as opportunity for bonus pay.
