The role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Specialist, In Home in our Winnipeg office! Reporting to the Manager, Consumer Specialists, the successful candidate will be accountable for feedback, recognition programs, and achieving operational excellence in support of an outstanding customer experience. This candidate must possess passion and proficiencies in all Shaw technical standards, operational processes, as well as health and safety standards!

A typical day

• Effectively deliver feedback to supervisors and leadership teams to improve our operational performance and delivery of the in-home customer experience.
• Perform Quality assurance site inspections on all types of Shaw installation and service work.
• Confirmation of Customer Satisfaction and compliance with all Shaw technical requirements, and arranging for necessary corrections at the time of inspection.
• Provide feedback to supervisors and leadership teams to improve our performance.
• Maintain accurate system records and support documentation for all work orders.
• Answering all customer inquiries and demonstrating or configuring all Shaw services.
• Support installation and service technicians through field mentoring and practical training (as required).
• Recognize and track training needs as observed from inspections and service calls.
• Liaison with other departments to facilitate improvements
• Facilitate group sessions, training programs and one-on-one discussions on a variety of procedural, technical and health and safety questions
• Promote a positive image of Shaw products and services
• Various other duties as needed

Your skills/experience

• Minimum 3-5 years\' experience in either installations or Service or a combination of both
• Ability to work various shifts including weekends, evenings, and statutory holidays
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Strong organization skills and ability to follow through
• Able to work independently and with others in a team environment with minimal direction as well as deal with the public
• Results oriented with the ability to work in a fast paced, ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
• Physically able to perform and work safely in all types of indoor and outdoor conditions. These aspects of the job include (but are not limited to) the climbing of ladders, working in confined spaces, and the safe operation of hand tools
• Maintain a valid driver\'s license and must provide a driver\'s abstract annually
• - A positive, \xe2\x80\x9ccan-do\xe2\x80\x9d demeanor and customer focused approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy and sincerity
• Travel will be required and may involve overnight stays
