Sansom Equipment Limited is the leading distributor and service provider for pumps, generators, blowers, valves, VFDs, magnetic flowmeters, instrumentation, chemical injections pumps and package engineered systems for industrial and municipal applications across Eastern Canada.

We are currently seeking a Full Time Service Technician to join our Truro Branch location. The successful applicant will be involved with equipment repair, along with required field repair work in areas around Nova Scotia. This position may include work at remote sites for equipment commissioning, repair and troubleshooting services. This position requires 4 x 10- hour shifts per week for 40 hours.

As the Field Service Technician, you are responsible for:

Troubleshooting of electrical equipment and mechanical repair

Starting up & commissioning of electric motors, pumping equipment and systems

Starting up & commissioning of generator equipment and systems

Completing preventative maintenance of internal combustion engines

Cleaning & inspecting electrical components

Operational testing & recording test readings

Maintaining accurate shop and field work records along with equipment service records

Demonstrating excellent customer service

You have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge is required

Proven experience working with the listed equipment

Valid Driver\'s License, criminal check, clear driver\'s abstract

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Formal trade certificate/Red Seal is definite asset
