Position Overview

Diebold Nixdorf is a leading global developer and manufacturer of retail/banking. We are currently seeking an Intermediate Field Service Technician. You would be expected to perform intermediate installation and minor repairs on all Diebold Nixdorf products and services. This includes scheduled cleanings and other intermediate maintenance on conventional products such as ATM\'s, locks and vaults, etc. as well as special project work, as needed. This position may require the use of basic and intermediate hand tools, limited parts and a broad understanding of PC, PC peripherals and network connectivity. Install, debug and provide technical maintenance for hardware and software of products and components within assigned area of responsibility mainly at customer\xc2\xb4s premises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Incident Handling: Perform trouble shooting via detailed analysis of HW and SW failures with the usage of all available diagnostic tools. This includes repair of HW on component level, cleaning and adjustment of mechanical components and configuration and installation of SW.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine checks according to documented preventative maintenance procedures and refill consumables as directed.
  • IMAC/R: Perform Installation, Movement, Addition, Change and Removal of hardware and software products and components as directed.
  • Customer Training: Instruct and train customers on usage and operation of installed HW and SW.
  • Process Tasks: Receive briefing for incidents and orders from dispatch function. Update dispatch function of all unforeseen issues. Provide detailed debriefing on all performed activities. Proactively inform customers about performed actions.
  • Continuous Improvement Process: Observe technical or process problems at all times, proactively inform about potential problems and offer improvement suggestions if possible.
  • Actively use corporate tools and processes for knowledge sharing, e.g. knowledge base to find solutions and provide input for it.
  • Training: Participate in regular hardware and software trainings (on the job, classroom trainings and web-based trainings) according to the corporate training concept and receive certification after passing relevant test.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven track record of more than 1 year Service Technician with banking/retail experience.
  • Successfully completed education in IT- or mechatronic/electronic-related profession.
  • In individual cases it is possible to assign the job to an employee, if the essential professional knowledge is acquired by work experience.
  • PC literacy and good knowledge and application of the relevant tools and methods.
  • Product knowledge of relevant industry and basic ITIL skills preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy loads, stand most of the day, climb, bend and stoop while working on equipment.
  • Acceptance of exposure to the outside elements.
  • Shift adaptability, which would include an on call rotation for evenings and weekends.
  • Exceptional customer service skills are needed.
  • Ability to organize and inventory truck stock parts and tools.
  • Sense of urgency, organizational skills, professional presence and work in team environment.
  • Ability to pass MVR, background and drug test where required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Firstline or Service Technician work experience preferred.
  • Vocational/Trade School preferred

Responsabilit\xc3\xa9s principales
  • Traitement des incidents : Ex\xc3\xa9cuter des recherches de pannes en utilisant les analyses d\xc3\xa9taill\xc3\xa9es des d\xc3\xa9faillances du mat\xc3\xa9riel et des logiciels avec tous les outils de diagnostics disponibles; Ceci comprend la r\xc3\xa9paration des composants du mat\xc3\xa9riel, le nettoyage et le r\xc3\xa9ajustement des composants m\xc3\xa9caniques, et l\'installation et la configuration des logiciels;
  • Maintenance pr\xc3\xa9ventive : Assurer des v\xc3\xa9rifications quotidiennes conform\xc3\xa9ment aux proc\xc3\xa9dures de maintenance pr\xc3\xa9ventive document\xc3\xa9es et r\xc3\xa9approvisionner les consommables comme indiqu\xc3\xa9;
  • IMAC/R : Effectuer l\'installation (I), le d\xc3\xa9placement (M), l\'ajout (A), la modification (C) et l\'enl\xc3\xa8vement (R) du mat\xc3\xa9riel et des logiciels des produits et composants comme indiqu\xc3\xa9;
  • Formation des clients : Former et entra\xc3\xaener les clients \xc3\xa0 l\'utilisation et au fonctionnement du mat\xc3\xa9riel et des logiciels install\xc3\xa9s;
  • D\xc3\xa9roul\xc3\xa9 des t\xc3\xa2ches : Recevoir un breffage sur les incidents et des instructions du poste de r\xc3\xa9partition; Tenir inform\xc3\xa9 le poste de r\xc3\xa9partition de tous probl\xc3\xa8mes impr\xc3\xa9vus; Fournir un compte-rendu d\xc3\xa9taill\xc3\xa9 sur toutes les activit\xc3\xa9s r\xc3\xa9alis\xc3\xa9es; Informer proactivement les clients des actions entreprises.
  • Processus d\'am\xc3\xa9lioration continue : Observer en permanence les probl\xc3\xa8mes de traitement et techniques, communiquer proactivement sur les probl\xc3\xa8mes potentiels et sugg\xc3\xa9rer des am\xc3\xa9liorations possibles le cas \xc3\xa9ch\xc3\xa9ant;
  • Utiliser activement les processus et outils de l\'entreprise pour partager des connaissances, p. ex. la base de connaissances, pour trouver des solutions et contribuer \xc3\xa0 celles-ci;
  • Formation : Participer r\xc3\xa9guli\xc3\xa8rement \xc3\xa0 des formations sur le mat\xc3\xa9riel et les logiciels (formations fournies sur le terrain, en classe et en ligne) conform\xc3\xa9ment au concept de formation professionnelle; recevoir des certifications apr\xc3\xa8s avoir r\xc3\xa9ussi les examens correspondants.
Qualifications requises
  • Plus de 1 an d\'exp\xc3\xa9rience comme technicien(ne) de service dans le secteur bancaire/du d\xc3\xa9tail;
  • Dipl\xc3\xb4m\xc3\xa9 en TI ou dans un m\xc3\xa9tier de l\'\xc3\xa9lectronique/la m\xc3\xa9catronique;
  • Dans certain cas, \xc3\xa9valu\xc3\xa9s individuellement, le poste pourrait \xc3\xaatre offert \xc3\xa0 un employ\xc3\xa9 si les connaissances professionnelles essentielles requises ont \xc3\xa9t\xc3\xa9 acquises \xc3\xa0 travers l\'exp\xc3\xa9rience professionnelle;
  • Ma\xc3\xaetrise de l\'informatique, bonne connaissance et application des m\xc3\xa9thodes et outils pertinents;
  • Connaissance des produits de l\'industrie concern\xc3\xa9e et comp\xc3\xa9tences ITIL de base pr\xc3\xa9f\xc3\xa9r\xc3\xa9es;
