The Field Service Technician is required for a busy, cleaning equipment repair company and will be responsible for carrying out all equipment repairs and implementing efficient preventative maintenance to all machines required by the company to ensure excellent quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Be available to address customer needs and concerns in a timely manner with a high level of customer service.
Ability to deal with a high level of call volume and promptly solve problems as they arise.
Perform preventive maintenance as well as break failure calls with a high level of detail.
Perform training to operators when required. Sometime outside of normal business hours as required by clients.
Keep a clean and organized service vehicle. Able to keep track and monitor inventory levels within service vehicle.
Perform all assigned tasks as provided by the service coordinator.
Perform all other duties as assigned to meet business goals.
The ability to work unsupervised, independently as well as part of a team.
Follow all customer requests and able to work in different environments - for example factories, warehouses, retail, and various other locations as needed.
Qualifications
Completion of secondary school or equivalent.
Valid G driver's license with a clean abstract.
3-5 years of technical experience in a mobile equipment environment preferred.
Knowledge of material, labour costs, and inventory management.
Detail-oriented and the ability to work under pressure.
Ability to solve problems and work well with others.
Strong mechanical aptitude and customer service skills.
Experience repairing cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, sweepers, vacuum cleaners, extractors, floor machines and various other pieces of equipment is considered an asset.
Sound knowledge of the cleaning industry is considered an asset.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams and use of electrical testing meters.
Working/Other Conditions
Travel up to 80% of the time. Willing to travel frequently within the designated territory as well as outside the designated territory as needed. Some outside provincial and overnight travel may be required from time to time.
Long periods of driving required.
