Are you able to travel extensively to customer locations all over Canada? You would be required to have overnight stays for extended periods of time. Our client stands behind their product and is looking to hire a Field Service Technician / Engineer to repair and troubleshoot plastic injection moulding and injection blow moulding machines at their clients\' locations. You must possess a valid driver\'s license, must not have travel restrictions and are free to travel up to 90% of the time within Canada.
Field Service Technician Responsibilities:
Adheres to daily schedule provided by Area Service Manager to visit and service customers\' machinery.
Troubleshoots electrical, hydraulic and mechanical problems leaving the customer with the assurance that the problem has been or will be resolved.
For new injection molding machines: starts up, provides molding assistance, and gives hands on operator and maintenance training.
Responsible for timely and accurate field service report specific to all services on site, problems incurred, safety violations noted, hours and expenses.
Responsible for all the proper use and care of all company-issued tooling, property, and proprietary information.
Provides temporary phone coverage for technical support and/or manager while there is a vacancy due to vacation and/or illness.
Field Service Technician Qualifications:
Two-year technical degree in the field of electronics, or equivalent experience in the plastics industry.
Demonstrated field service experience or equivalent experience in the area of troubleshooting and repair of injection molding machines.
Employment conditions:
Direct Hire, Permanent, full-time
$85,000 - $90,000 per year
Motor vehicle allowance
Can live anywhere in Canada
