Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced skilled and reliable Hot Tub Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing hot tubs and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Prior experience with pool and spa equipment and repairs is a must, experience with plumbing and electrical is an asset along with familiarity with hand tools and power tools. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in technical maintenance and outdoor equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and maintenance on hot tubs, including cleaning, water testing, and chemical balancing where required Diagnose and repair mechanical issues related to pumps, filters, heaters, and jets Repair hot tub plumbing and complete repairs and changes on equipment Source retrofit components to replace discontinued or proprietary parts. Install new hot tubs or components as needed, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques Troubleshoot electrical systems and ensure safety compliance during repairs Source and be able to find hot tub leaks efficiently and complete the repair properly. Maintain detailed service records for each job performed Assist with site preparation involving excavation or landscaping tasks when necessary to level or create hot tub pads. Use hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete repairs and installations Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and clients
Skills

Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing, electrical systems, and water chemistry Experience with excavation equipment such as excavators or similar is a plus Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for maintenance and construction tasks Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately and be able to document and explain the issue and the repair process Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members Ability to work independently in outdoor environments while adhering to safety standards Prior experience in construction or maintenance roles is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided as needed to adhere to company processes. You must be able to train junior technicians and maintenance workers in the field as required.
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

Experience:

Hot Tub Servicing : 3 years (preferred) Plumbing: 3 years (preferred) Hot Tub Water Treatment: 2 years (preferred)
Language:

Fluent English (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

Pool Operators Certificate (preferred) Alberta Class 5 Drivers License (preferred)
We will provide WHIMIS, First Aid, and TDG Training.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
