Job Description

SITECH Eastern Canada Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our dynamic and expanding team. As Canada's leading dealer for TRIMBLE construction technology and LOADRITE onboard industrial scale systems, we specialize in helping civil engineering firms, construction companies, and aggregate producers optimize their operations. Our team supports customers in leveraging advanced technology across their entire fleet of heavy equipment, production systems, and surveying tools to enhance both productivity and precision. In depth training is continuously provided by senor SITECH colleges and product vendors.



We are looking for a Field Service Tech to cover our 3 areas : Burlington, Kitchener and Mississauga. The candidate can be located anywhere around this area and will be driving to perform their duties in these areas.


Wage:

$30.00 -$33.00 negotiable depending on experience.

This position reports directly to the Service Manager. The following summarizes some key elements of the role.


Key Responsibilities:




Consistently demonstrate safe work practices and environmentally responsible behavior in alignment with SITECH's health and safety policies and initiatives. Diagnose, repair, and support 2D and 3D machine control and guidance systems, paving technologies, mobile GPS solutions, payload systems, and all related hardware and software. Perform field installations, system troubleshooting, equipment repairs, and provide hands-on training and support to customers on-site. Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of service calls, maintaining awareness of open projects to minimize backlog. Accurately manage service-related documentation, forms, and paperwork in accordance with company policies and management directives. Conduct equipment inspections at job sites to assess condition and functionality. Order necessary parts promptly to avoid delays in service delivery. Navigate efficiently throughout the region, adapting to various traffic conditions. Deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Be flexible with on-call schedules and willing to work in all weather conditions. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-serviced company vehicle. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Key Qualifications:




Skilled technician with proven ability to diagnose issues, perform failure analysis, and repair a wide range of construction equipment. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment. Hands-on experience working with heavy construction and aggregate machinery. Familiar with construction and aggregate site operations, consistently adhering to site-specific safety protocols. Efficiently complete installation and repair tasks as outlined in work orders, meeting company standards and training requirements. Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent time management and organizational abilities. Operate and maintain shop equipment to ensure a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Possess a clean driving record. Flexible and adaptable to varying work schedules and weather conditions. Committed to delivering high-quality service and maintaining positive customer relationships.
