Closing Date: August 4, 2024Exciting and Rewarding Field Service Technician Opportunity in Grande Prairie, AlbertaAre you interested in developing your technical skills and learning about the Lottery and Gaming industry? If so, come work with us! In this role, you will learn how to troubleshoot and repair slot machines, Video Lottery Terminal\'s, Ticket lottery terminals and other electronic gaming equipment! Our internal training program will teach you all about different slot machines and other electronic games. We have a diverse supporting team of professionals to help develop and build your skills.As a Field Technician, you will install, remove, relocate and service, and maintain Video Lottery Terminals, Slot Machines, electronic gaming devices, ticket lottery terminals and associated equipment in a variety of work environments. Field Service Technicians will be required to work independently in the completion of their duties, and in accordance with AGLC policies, procedures and security requirements.AGLC will provide you with all the tools, phone, tablet and vehicle required to service our retailers.You will get the opportunity to travel the Northwest of Alberta and sometimes be required to spend overnights out of Grande Prairie during travel to places like High Level.Using your excellent communication skills, both oral and written, you will be expected to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders and the general public. You must have good organizational & time management skills along with strong attention to detail to ensure tasks are performed in an efficient and effective manner. Strong problem solving and technical skills will help you succeed in this role and you must be able to work as an effective team member.Our Field Technicians work shift work (8 days on and 6 days off - On Wed to Wed and Off Thurs to Tues) and are eligible for shift premiums and weekend premiums in addition to their base salary.NOTE: Candidates must be able to work varying shifts, including weekends as required. Employees are eligible to receive a Northern Living allowance of $6,000 annually if they reside and work in Grande Prairie.SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Electronics Diploma or Certified Engineering Technologist, or Telecommunications diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution is required.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and technical skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and move or shift weights ranging from 50 to 300 pounds on a regular basis.
  • A valid driver\'s license and clean driver\'s abstract is also required.
  • SSIT Certification an asset
