Your Role

Mission:

To facilitate growth of Power Technique\'s Aftermarket through a strong commitment to the delivery of high-quality maintenance, repair and overhaul of portable air compressors, dewatering pumps, and generators at customer locations or Atlas Copco Service Center.

This role is hybrid and you will report into a service center manager.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Perform routine, preventive maintenance and repairs on portable air compressors, generators, light towers and dewatering pumps, including diesel engines in accordance with manufacturer\'s recommendations.

Perform diagnostics on malfunctioning compressors and pumps, determine possible causes, and perform repairs.

Test and document proper operating parameters.

Provide basic tools for job along with normal maintenance of tools and equipment.

Provide high level of customer service.

Develop rapport with customers through effective communication, interpersonal skills, and professionalism.

Train and assist other technical support personnel and service technicians.

To succeed, you will need

Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of technical service experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment is required.

1-2 years of technical service experience maintaining and repairing compressed air equipment, generators, light towers and dewatering pumps (Atlas Copco and other) or equivalent is preferred.

Demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of a wide variety of portable compressors is strongly preferred.

Education:

A High School diploma or GED is required.

Technical degree plus commercial experience will be a plus.

Skills:

Strong mechanical and electrical skills.

Experience in diesel engine maintenance and repair - including factory training on Cummins, Kubota, John Deere, Isuzu, Perkins and/or Volvo engines will be a plus.

- Factory training will be provided for John Deere, Cummins, Perkins, Isuzu, Kubota and Kohler

A basic level of understanding and competence with computers and associated systems (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.), business systems, distribution channels and accounting practices.

Must maintain a valid driver\'s license.

Travel:

Extensive travel to customer locations is required, with some overnight travel (up to 50%).
