Job Description
AWS Auto Wash Systems Ltd. is accepting applications for the position of CAR WASH EQUIPMENT SERVICE TECHNICIAN. The company is based in Russell, Ontario and services the Ottawa/Gatineau & Eastern Ontario areas.
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time.
Anticipated Start Date: Immediately
The Car Wash Technician is responsible for equipment maintenance and repair, installation of automated and self-serve car wash equipment, and for keeping related records. Duties are performed in the field with varying work schedules and a rotating on-call schedule. Occasional out-of-town travel is required. Salary is based on experience and qualifications.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshoot and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment
Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance of car wash equipment
Maintain tools, test equipment, and materials in a professional manner
Comply with Company Safety Training Standards
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must have the ability to:
Multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively Work independently or within a team Read and comprehend technical manuals, work orders and other field service documents Lift items up to 75 lbs. Intermittently and repeatedly bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push, pull, or do fine manipulations, climb ladders, and stand for prolonged periods
A willingness to learn - on the job training is provided.
Good communication skills, English written & spoken. French language is an asset.
Intermediate computer skills and email communication.
Technical knowledge/mechanical aptitude or experience as a service technician in other fields is an asset.
Understanding PLC controllers, low voltage control circuits and three-phase power is an asset.
Neat and clean in appearance and possess an excellent driving record.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
