About the Role



As a Field Service representative based in Alberta, Canada, you will be at the forefront of our commitment to exceptional technical support and customer care. This position offers a unique opportunity to bridge your background in engineering with practical, on-site experience, contributing directly to the performance and reliability of HILONG's oilfield drilling tools.

You will be responsible for conducting rig site visits, troubleshooting issues, guiding client personnel in optimal equipment use, and ensuring that our technology consistently meets the rigorous demands of the energy sector. Your contributions will be critical in maintaining strong client relationships and enhancing the reputation of our company throughout Western Canada.

Key Points:



Serve as the primary technical liaison between our company and field operations teams, building trust and fostering open communication.

Advise client personnel in proper equipment operation and maintenance protocols, empowering their teams with practical knowledge.

Identify opportunities for additional services, equipment upgrades, or technical enhancements, contributing to the long-term success of our clients.

Maintain accurate service records and client communication logs to ensure continuity and accountability.

Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in every aspect of field service.

Analyze data from equipment performance to offer actionable recommendations for improvement and optimization.

Support product development by relaying feedback from the field, offering technical insights that help shape future innovations.

Partner with our internal engineering teams to resolve complex technical challenges and advance our product line.

Key Responsibilities



Field Operation Ready.

Travel to rig sites, assessing tool performance and providing immediate, hands-on technical support.

Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions, offer maintenance guidance, and perform comprehensive inspections to ensure safety and reliability.

Document all field conditions and drilling tools statuses, compiling detailed technical reports that inform ongoing improvements and client communications.

Collaborate closely with drilling crews and site supervisors to maximize equipment efficiency and operational success.

Respond promptly to emergency service calls, delivering rapid solutions to critical problems in remote and demanding environments.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's degree/Technical Diploma in Mechanical, Petroleum, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline is preferred but not required.

Recent graduate from engineering background is also encouraged to apply.

The Ideal Candidate would process the following Skills:



Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and client interaction.

Great Customer Service Skills and Attitude.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and technical documentation practices.

Valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license with an impeccable driving record.

Capacity to work independently.

Preferred Experience



Previous co-op, internship, or work experience in the oil & gas industry.

Familiarity with drilling operations and oilfield equipment.

Working knowledge of safety standards (H2S Alive, First Aid are assets).

Experience interpreting technical drawings.

Familiarity with Drill Pipe manufacturing and inspection standard (API5DP, 7-1, DS-1,NS-1 etc.)

Working Conditions

Capacity to travel as required.

Travel to rig/field locations, sometimes requiring extended stays in remote locations.
