Responsibilities - What You Will Do:
How will you help us grow? It matters to us, and it matters to you!

  • Your primary focus will be on the higher pedigreed seed lots
  • Work and interact directly with seed growers in the summer
  • Activities related to seed production, management of grower relations, supervision of planting, etc.
  • Perform tasks associated with harvest, conditioning and shipping, some general repair and maintenance, as directed by supervisor.
  • Harvest activities from receiving to storage
  • Compliance with Work Instructions and Quality Plan requirements
  • Complete and maintain appropriate records, documents, or reports such as quality, safety, grower, and inventory records.
Qualifications

Requirements- Who You Are:
What expertise have you grown? What do you bring to the table?
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Two-Year agricultural diploma or related field of study is highly preferred
  • Knowledge and experience working with corn, soybean, and wheat strongly preferred
  • Experience in light industrial, manufacturing, seed cleaning and handling, or warehouse
  • Overtime hours including weekend and shift work as required during peak seasons
  • Knowledge of production agriculture
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing conditions and anticipate needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, reliability, work accuracy, and timeliness
  • Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision
  • Competent computer skills (including Microsoft Office programs)
  • Willingness to work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, dry, and dusty conditions
  • Ability to climb and/or work in elevated areas, standing and sitting for extended periods
  • Position involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs
