THE POSITION

Keyera is currently seeking a Field Operator (Northern Field Rover) to provide area coverage for our Wapiti and Simonette fields. The role would ensure our facilities are operated in a safe and environmentally friendly manner, with a focus on exceeding Keyera\xe2\x80\x99s commitments to safety performance and reliability. The successful candidate would reside in Grande Prairie, working primarily out of our Gold Creek location with regular travel to other locations such as Wapiti and Simonette. The role would have a flexible schedule consisting of days and nights, while also providing after hour support to field operations if required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• 
  Training/competency support for all field operations.
• 
  Area coverage for both Wapiti and Simonette fields.
• 
  Ensure the ability and manpower to focus on tasks as required.
• 
  SME for field operations tasks, can support the team and teach others.
• 
  Ensure the facilities are operated in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
• 
  Accountable for ensuring regulatory requirements in the area are adhered to, managed, and reported in a timely manner.
• 
  Responsible for the execution and sustainment of Operational Excellence and AMR across the regional facilities.
• 
  Support area goals and priorities as part of the leadership team
• 
  Consistently demonstrate the Keyera Cultural Characteristics and values.
• 
  Ensure consistent and transparent communication to supervisors, and pertinent stakeholders as required.
• 
  Identify and implement best practices to reduce risk and enhance operational effectiveness of the assets.
• 
  Support and drive the use of procedures, FLHA\xe2\x80\x99s, management of change processes, and internal communication daily.
• 
  Support and assist with facility operational upsets, reporting, and best operating practices.
• 
  Ensure operational and maintenance efficiencies are achieved through collaboration across the region.
• 
  Support regional priorities and initiatives.
• 
  Train, coach, and mentor the team in their work duties and responsibilities for the safe operation of the facilities.
• 
  Support cost management activities.
• 
  Identify and evaluate opportunities to optimize the facilities, manage costs, and mitigate potential hazards.
• 
  Support and participate in ERP activities.
• 
  Prioritize communication with customers, vendors and residents to build effective relationships across the region.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 
  10+ years of industry experience focused in sour gas pipeline operation.
• 
  Strong commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
• 
  Previous turnaround, commissioning, and Project execution experience would be considered as asset.
• 
  Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to provide timely and relevant feedback.
• 
  Strong organization and time management skills.
• 
  Strong analytical, reporting, conflict resolution, problem solving and facilitation skills.
• 
  Ability to build strong collaborative and mutually beneficial relationships with all complex staff.
• 
  Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time.
• 
  Able to work a flexible schedule of days / nights and provide after hour support to field operations if required.
• 
  Clean driver abstract.
• 
  Grand Prairie-based position (No camp provided).
