Worker Type: EmployeeGroup: Pipeline Operations - CLGS DepartmentJob Post End Date: 11/02/2024About this opportunity:The Field Operator will be responsible for the ongoing safe, compliant, and efficient operation in Cold Lake. This will include fluid delivery, pipeline terminal operation, and pump stations. This Successful candidate will collaborate with Lloydminster Control Room personnel, field operations staff, Midstream engineering staff, construction and service companies, trucking companies, and maintenance personnel.What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:Operating and maintaining pipeline facilities at area LACT sites, terminals and various field sitesUnderstand the regulatory and operating approvals as they pertain to our facility including materials that can be accepted at the facilitiesScala data inputs, truck ticket tracking and regular communication to the customers and transportation dispatchMonitor truck scale for accurate operationFiling of facility waste approvals, truck tickets and other facility specific dataCommunicating with field operators, helping develop and maintain customer relations at the facility levelAssist in the repair and maintenance of equipmentPerform control of work and energy isolationsInitiating work notifications for the maintenance group to sustain safe operationsPerform sampling of all products, test density, temperature and BS&WAble to perform station truck unloading duties and ensure the terminal operates within Cenovus/HMGP\xe2\x80\x99s standardsConsistently demonstrate a continuous improvement approach and determine alternative solutions for operational issues in a safe, cost effect and sustainable mannerProvide technical support for planning and scheduling workProvide onsite direction, training, and mentorship for the teamComplete periodic reviews of existing tasks and ensure procedures are up to date.Assist in developing additional site-specific procedures and THA\xe2\x80\x99s as needed to ensure work can be performed safelyWho you are:Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:Legally authorized to work in CanadaMinimum Grade 12 or equivalentStrong communication and organizational skillsHigh level of attention to detail, with demonstrated troubleshooting skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsStrong organizational, time management and leadership skillsSelf-motivated and the ability to function and excel with limited supervision and in a team environmentAbility to work shift work including weekends and holidays and being on-call during shiftEffective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interface positively with the local community and multiple support teams within HMGPAccountable and result orientedValid Class 5 Drivers LicenseWe acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver\'s license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines.
