Are you looking to get started in the Oil and Gas Industry? We are looking for entry level and experienced candidates! No secondary education or power engineering required. We train the successful candidates!

This role requires the successful candidate to perform a variety of operations and maintenance duties. This position is primarily responsible for unloading bulk sand carriers in all weather conditions, via an automated process. General maintenance and troubleshooting of the unloading process. The primary focus of this role is to ensure sand is being unloaded safely and efficiently into the Sand Minion storage unit. The Logistics Technician role reports to the Operations Manager.

Role and Responsibilities



As a successful candidate, the Logistics Technician will assist and support on set up and demobilize the Spearhead sand minion in a safe manner at client sites all over Western Canada. This role requires the successful candidate to complete and attain a technician 2 competency in truck unloading operations and maintenance this includes but is not limited to: Ensure the safety of people, environment and the equipment while providing unapparelled service to Spearhead Sand Clients. Safe setup, operation and demobilization of the Spearhead Sand Minion system on location following company/client policies and procedures. Perform truck unloading operations and maintenance duties for a smooth and efficient operation. Report any process or asset related issues beyond your scope and appropriately flag to the Operations Manager. Prepare and complete daily operations logs and communicate significate changes and findings to the Operations Manager in a timely manner. Perform minor operations maintenance duties as required and outlined in the Spearhead Sand technician 2 training program. Effectively working in a team environment with other service providers at site/Location. Potentially working in extreme weather conditions winter/summer Other duties and requirements as defined by the Operations Manager.

15 On shift/ 6 Days Off / Additional days can be worked at employee's discretion

Qualifications and Education Requirements



We are looking for individuals with a hardworking and safety-first attitude, who have basic knowledge of tools and mechanics. Individuals must be self-motivated and adaptable to change. Other basic requirements include
Preferred Skills

2+ years' Industrial experience (Preferred not required) A mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Possess exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work with different personalities. First Aid / H2S not required but considered an asset. Able to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug, alcohol screening testing and fit suitability testing. Possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record (Drivers Abstract required) Safety first attitude! The flexibility to be away at sites/locations for up to 15 days at a time. Must be able to work at heights up to 90ft Must be able to wear half and full-face respirators for extended periods up to 12 hrs.

Must be able to complete all safety ticket training as required by employer and client. Must have a class 5 drivers license with insurable drivers abstract with clean driving record 90-day probationary period Accommodations provided as required while working outside the town of Olds, Alberta. Boot allowance provided after probationary period All safety PPE provided Expenses reimbursement monthly Upon completion of the Technician 2 competency the employee is eligible to start on the technician 1 progress training program.
