The Toronto Blue Jays are hiring for the 2026 season!
Reporting to the Manager(s), Field Operations, the Field Operations Attendant is a general labour role that will assist with the installation and maintenance of the baseball field at Rogers Centre, ensuring it meets MLB standards. They will also assist in the installation of signage, backstop nets, foul poles, maintain stadium seats, and convert field for other events. The Field Operations Attendant will be part of a team working towards establishing a best-in-class field for the playing of Major League Baseball.
Please note that these are seasonal roles aligned with the baseball and Rogers Centre events schedule, spanning from approximately
February to November 2026

This is a part-time contract position
with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:
General labour
Assist with the installation and maintenance of the baseball field to Major League Baseball's specifications
Assist with the conversion of the stadium into and out of concert/event mode
Assist with the installation and maintenance of backstop netting, foul poles, batting practice screens, and pitching machines
Work collaboratively with other departments as required
Assist with set-up and tear down of promotional signage and equipment for ceremonies or special events
Grooming of the field during baseball games
Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment as needed
Participation in promotions, commercials, media events as needed
Successful completion of various internal health and safety training
Documenting and reporting all incidents major and minor
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be available to work home games (evenings, weekends, and holidays) and other Rogers Centre concerts/events as required.
Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent required
Must be a skilled equipment operator with current certificates for:
A valid driver's license is considered an asset
Ability to lift 23kg/50lbs without assistance
Ability to stand for long periods of time; bend, stretch, engage in repetitive motions, push; pull and carry items (tools, bags of clay)
Ability to run up to 100 yards
Ability to climb a ladder and use a step stool
Must be detail-oriented
A team player who will establish and maintain strong relationships with internal staff to reach desired results
Effective communication skills
Must be able to multi-task and meet required deadlines
