ROAD MECHANIC
Responsibilities Include:
Fleet Maintenance & Repair
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repair services at customer yard facilities.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on a variety of fleet equipment.
Complete quality inspections to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
Support shop operations and complete in-shop repairs when needed.
Field Work & Environmental Conditions
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including hot summers and cold winters.
Safely operate company service vehicle and tools in all environments.
Scheduling & Self-Dispatch
Organize and prioritize daily workload according to customer maintenance schedules.
Self-dispatch to customer sites in a timely manner, ensuring efficiency and minimal downtime.
Communication & Customer Service
Maintain regular communication with supervisors regarding work progress, scheduling, and customer needs.
Provide professional, courteous service to customers and address maintenance concerns promptly.
Collaborate with other road technicians and shop staff to ensure customer service requirements are consistently met.
Clerical & Administrative Duties
Accurately track and record billable hours, work completed, and service details.
Maintain parts and inventory records for service vehicle; restock as needed.
Ensure proper documentation of customer service schedules, completed work, and parts usage.
Clean work area as required and maintain equipment; Adhere to all environmental, health and safety standards
Successful
ROAD MECHANIC
Candidates Will Have:
One year of ROAD MECHANIC experience within the heavy-duty industry
Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs
