Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Field Labour Technician to support our water treatment and dewatering operations on construction, infrastructure and industrial sites. This is a hands-on field position suited for individuals who enjoy physical work, working outdoors, and being part of a technical team that plays a critical role in environmental protection and site safety.
Duties:
Perform general labour duties in support of water treatment and dewatering operations.
Load, unload, move, and stage pumps, hoses, piping, tanks, filters, and related materials.
Assist with installation and removal of dewatering systems, treatment tanks, and temporary piping.
Connect and disconnect hoses, pipes, and fittings under direction of senior technicians.
Perform routine cleaning, flushing, and basic upkeep of hoses, tanks, and equipment.
Conduct site housekeeping including shoveling, sweeping, debris removal, and spill cleanup.
Support safe lifting, rigging, and material handling activities.
Assist with traffic control, site access, and work area setup as required.
Follow all safety procedures, environmental controls, and site-specific rules.
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on active construction sites.
Communicate hazards, issues, or unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately.
Qualifications:
Ability to perform physically demanding labour including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials and equipment.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and on active construction sites.
Willingness to perform repetitive tasks and manual labour for extended periods.
Strong awareness of personal and jobsite safety; ability to follow safety rules and procedures.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors and senior technicians.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
Willingness to work extended hours, overtime, weekends, and emergency call-outs as required.
Valid driver's license (Class 5 or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory.
Legally eligible to work in Canada.
