:

V Construction is Canada's premier utility contractor, as well as head of the and part of the Group, the largest electrical power contractor in North America. Valard has full-service capabilities for transmission, distribution, substations, foundations, telecommunications, and renewable energy.

Our Fleet Department is seeking full time Heavy Equipment Technician(s) to join our team for a project in Northern Ontario.

Camp position with flexible shift options.

Travel is provided from approved major airports.

This is a union position with $6/hr RRSP contributions, tool allowances, benefits and has daily overtime including double time on Sunday's.

Requirements:

• Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician Certificate
• 5+ years experience working on Kenworth, Freightliner, Peterbilt, Sterling, Western Star and International Highway Tractors
• Posses a valid CVIP License
• Requires extensive knowledge of DPF and DEF after treatment systems and ABS brake systems
• Engine certification is an asset along with electrical, engine and drive line troubleshooting skills
• Proficient in the use of diagnostic software for engines and ABS systems
• Help improce and maintain shop repair, efficiency, costs and quality of workmanship
• Preform quaility control checks during and after each job
• Help enforce and maintain Safe Work Practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be willing to work in a camp position on a 20/8 rotation

• Client requires all workers on site to be fully vaccinated
