We are seeking a Field General Labourer on behalf of our engineering client \xe2\x80\x93 they make world-class fiber optic technology for the energy sector. If you\xe2\x80\x99re interested in learning more about the functionality of fibre optics and want to enhance your mechanical skill set, we want to speak to you!
Please note: This position requires the ability to travel out of town for 15 days/month
Responsibilities Include:
- Installing specialized fiber optic cable.
- Installing and maintaining field equipment.
- Preparing required materials and equipment for installation/deployment at the site.
- Filling all required reports such as quality control sheets, time sheets, safety forms, etc.
- Adhering strictly to all required health and safety regulations.
- Regular use of hand tools, and power tools.
Requirements Include:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in similar work.
- Previous experience installing fiber optic cable is preferred.
- Previous experience in the energy sector is an asset.
- Must be willing to work in the field on all required days (at least 15 days/month) and some weekends.
- Must have a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and a clean driver\'s abstract.
- Willingness to travel to remote worksites.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
