JOB SUMMARY



We are actively seeking a skilled and motivated On-Site Equipment Technician who is willing and able to travel extensively for fieldwork. This role involves frequent out-of-town travel, including extended stays of 3 to 5 days (or more) for large-scale projects. The selected candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of specialized equipment at various client sites. This position requires a self-sufficient and highly adaptable individual with strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in different environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Travel frequently to client locations for scheduled maintenance, emergency repairs, and equipment installations.

Conduct on-site diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.

Ensure timely completion of service tasks while adhering to safety standards and protocols.

Maintain thorough documentation of service visits, including reports on equipment condition, repairs performed, and client interactions.

Provide hands-on training and technical support to clients on proper equipment usage and maintenance best practices.

Coordinate with management to optimize travel schedules and respond to urgent repair needs efficiently.

Uphold company policies, industry standards, and regulatory compliance while working on-site.

Adapt to various work conditions, including industrial and field settings, and handle challenges independently.

QUALIFICATIONS



High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field preferred.

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting.

Must be comfortable with extensive travel, including overnight stays and working in remote locations.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and service reporting.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company service vehicles as required.

PREFERRED SKILLS



Experience servicing automotive equipment.

Familiarity with tire machines, balancers, lifts, air compressors, a/c machines, etc.

Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals.

Strong organizational skills to manage travel schedules and client visits effectively.

WORKING CONDITIONS



Out-of-town travel is required, including multi-day assignments.

Ability to work in varying environments, including industrial sites and outdoor locations.

Must be physically capable of lifting over 75lbs, handling equipment and tools as needed.

Occasional weekend or after-hours work may be necessary based on client needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
