Lorneville is accepting resumes for an upcoming Field Engineer opportunity in Saint John, NB.

This role will support us in delivering products and services to our customers safely, efficiently, and with high quality. Working in an office and/or site construction environment, you will apply your technical and personal skills to support other Field Engineers, Project Managers, Superintendents, and Trade Supervisors as needed to meet our contracted deliverables.

Additional Details:

This position currently follows a 4x10 schedule, with the potential to shift to a 5x10 schedule, and includes working weekends as required, on-site with the Pulp and Paper project team in the Saint John area.

Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes Required

An Undergraduate Degree in Engineering or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is considered a strong asset (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field. Understanding of quality assurance and quality control Can work in a high-paced, demanding environment, prioritizing and completing tasks as directed and when needed. Ability to work in a dynamic team environment. Good problem-solver, methodical thinker, and good analytical skills. Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written. Has practical experience in the execution of construction work on boilers, piping, structural steel, tanks and vessels, and rotating and stationary equipment. Estimating, sketching, and interpreting drawings and specifications capabilities. Ability to read and create schedules using software. Knowledge of mechanical industrial construction and maintenance work. Ability to schedule simple projects and shut down work. Competent user of Microsoft Office software, with proficient skills in Excel. Committed to learning and professional development. Ability to work inside and outside during all months of the year, climb ladders and wear Personal Protective Equipment required at job sites.
