About the Role
Touch Coffee Smart Bar Ltd. is seeking a skilled Field Engineer/Technician to install, set up, troubleshoot, update, repair, and maintain smart coffee vending machines across North America. You will work directly with innovative IoT hardware and also remotely support customers through installation and troubleshooting guidance.
Key Responsibilities
Installation, Setup & Configuration
Install and set up vending machines at customer locations
Configure power, calibration, IoT telemetry, and cashless payment solutions
Remotely assist customers with installation and setup, and repair via phone, video calls.
Perform full equipment testing to ensure operational readiness.
Prepare vending machines for shipment to customers, including final testing, configuration, and packaging to ensure equipment is fully ready for installation.
Install, configure, update, and repair payment systems such as Nayax, Cantaloupe, USA Tech, etc.
Test payment acceptance methods (tap, swipe, mobile wallet)
Repair, Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Diagnose and resolve software, electrical, and mechanical issues
Replace and repair pumps, valves, sensors, system boards, screens, wiring, heaters, displays, PCBs, IoT modems.
Conduct scheduled maintenance and machine cleaning procedures
Firmware / Software Updates
Flash firmware to hardware controllers
Install and configure software UI updates, menus, and telemetry platforms
Monitor devices remotely for performance and error alerts
Documentation & Reporting
Create and update:
Troubleshooting manuals
Installation checklists
Repair guides and technical documentation
Communicate product issues to Vendor for improvement.
Customer Support & Training
Provide clear training to operators/staff on proper use and care
Deliver both remote and onsite customer support in a timely manner
Skills & Qualifications
Fluency in English -- strong communication skills for training and support
Technical diploma/certification in Electronics, IT Systems, or related field
1-3 years of experience in field service / repair & setup roles
Hands-on experience with Nayax or similar cashless payment systems
Comfortable with firmware flashing and telemetric configurations
Ability to interpret wiring and schematic diagrams and troubleshooting data
Basic networking knowledge (Wi-Fi, SIM IoT, APN, IP settings)
Valid driver's license and travel capability
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
