Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Field Engineer with a strong background in automated equipment, CMMS, PLC programming, and industrial IoT integration. This role is essential to ensuring the reliability, performance, and digital connectivity of our automated manufacturing and packaging equipment. troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues with equipment, and providing technical training to site maintenance teams.

In your role, you will:



Perform hands-on diagnostics and maintenance on automated equipment (PLCs, robotics, case packers), including modifying and optimizing PLC programs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron) and HMI interfaces for enhanced performance. Integrate PLC systems with IoT platforms for real-time data acquisition and remote monitoring, ensuring robust connectivity with enterprise platforms (e.g., MES, ERP) in collaboration with IT. Set up, configure, and maintain industrial servers to ensure secure and scalable communication and network infrastructure across the automation environment. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring equipment failures, utilizing CMMS platforms to manage maintenance, track asset performance, and report on reliability. Support the commissioning and validation of new equipment installations and provide technical training and documentation to maintenance and operations teams on control systems and best practices.

You have:



Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering preferred; relevant experience in Instrumentation, Robotics certification, or significant expertise in automation and PLCs will also be considered. 3+ years of experience in automated manufacturing environments, with strong knowledge of robotics, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation systems. Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Experience with CMMS platforms and MES systems; familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Six Sigma principles is an asset. Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the willingness to travel to various sites as required.
