The Department of Health and Human Services within the Faculty of Health and Community Studies invites applications for a 0.5 part-time, 17 month limited term Field Education Facilitator, Professional Faculty, commencing in January 2026 and ending in May of 2027, subject to final budgetary approval.
You will:
Serve as the primary contact and liaison between instructional faculty, community partners/agencies, and students;
Create and implement strategies for community partner recruitment and retention;
Develop, coordinate and administer Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placements in collaboration with community partners and agencies;
Support students and faculty throughout the field education process, providing guidance and resolving issues as they arise;
Prepare and maintain field education documents, records, and administrative materials;
Contribute to continuous improvement of field education processes and partnerships; and
Review and assess Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition submissions.
Qualifications and Skills
A minimum of a master's degree in Occupational Therapy. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a relevant health profession.
Experience working in a post-secondary environment.
Commitment to integrated learning and collaboration with community partners.
Thorough understanding of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) education for undergraduate students.
Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently in a deadline driven environment.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
The ability to think innovatively and show strong initiative in your work
The ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
Willingness to engage in service to the Department, Faculty, and University.
