Position Summary:
We are seeking a Delivery Driver and Shop Assistant who will primarily focus on delivering products such as clamps and gaskets to customer sites (approximately 70% of the role). In addition to driving, the role involves assisting in shop-based tasks and providing service support as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive to designated locations to complete deliveries. Safely pick and load clamps, gaskets, and other items for transport. Manage packing slips and filter reports, ensuring accurate delivery documentation. Deliver exceptional customer service and recognize potential upselling opportunities. Complete check-in sheets upon pickup to maintain inventory accuracy. Communicate inventory needs with the purchasing department for next-day planning. Update D4 spreadsheet with relevant and accurate information. Assist shop technicians with general service tasks as required. Follow all safety protocols while driving and carrying out other duties. Participate in safety training and promote a safety-focused workplace culture.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds throughout the day. Comfortable with extended periods of driving and performing physical tasks. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for long durations. Capable of working in varied weather conditions (heat, cold, precipitation).
Mental Requirements:

Strong attention to detail for documentation and inventory accuracy. Excellent verbal communication for customer and team interactions. Problem-solving skills to address delivery or service-related challenges. Self-starter who can manage time and tasks independently. Flexible and adaptable to changing job duties and schedules.
Preferred Skills and Experience:

Previous delivery driving and/or technician experience is an asset. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required). Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems. Customer service background with an ability to build rapport and spot upselling opportunities. Understanding of safety regulations in driving and warehouse environments. Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills.
