Field Coordinator (construction / Electrical)

Job Description

We're seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Field Coordinator to help keep construction operations running smoothly and on schedule. You'll coordinate crews, confirm site/client readiness, stage materials from the warehouse, and keep clear daily progress reports. Construction coordination is the core requirement; electrical experience is a plus.

What you'll do



Crew and schedule coordination:

Build daily/weekly schedules, dispatch crews, monitor progress, and adjust when plans change.

Confirm client/site readiness:

Verify access windows, on-site contact, building restrictions (quiet hours/elevators), and that areas are ready before crews arrive.

Warehouse materials staging:

Work from pick lists to pull stock, label and stage by job/crew, load trucks, note shortages for the office to resolve, and process simple returns/credits.

Coordinate subcontractors and trades:

Align tasks, access, and timelines; sequence work to avoid clashes and downtime.

Daily reports:

Prepare clear notes on planned vs. completed work, issues, and next steps; report delays early.

Care of client property:

Coordinate protection of client belongings/finishes during work/restoration; leave areas safe and tidy.

Client and inspector interface:

Meet site supervisors or project managers, coordinate inspections when required, and record outcomes.

Documents and tracking:

Keep daily reports, change orders, delivery slips, time sheets, and sign-ins organized and current.

Team hours:

Track and verify crew hours by job (regular and overtime) and flag variances early.

(If directed) Estimating support:

Assist with simple quantity checks or budget inputs to help keep projects on time and within budget.

Requirements and qualifications



Must-haves



1-3+ years of construction coordination

(general contracting,

interior renovation work for tenant spaces

, restoration, or similar). Hands-on experience with

warehouse pulls and staging

(pick lists, truck loading, returns).

Excellent time management

and ability to prioritize tasks in a changing schedule.

Strong organizational skills

with attention to detail for accurate reporting and documentation.

Great communication skills

with clients, subcontractors, and crews; collaborative and self-directed. Proficient with

Microsoft 365

(Outlook, Excel, OneDrive/SharePoint) and mobile photo/PDF apps.

Valid Ontario G driver's licence

with clean abstract; comfortable driving across the GTA. Able to work

evenings and weekends

as required by the on-call schedule.

Nice to have (electrical is a plus, not required)



Ability to

read construction drawings/blueprints and basic schematics

to understand scope and sequencing. Exposure to

electrical coordination

Team leader/coordinator experience (1+ year preferred); restoration exposure (1+ year preferred). Spanish language
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week

Work Location: In person
