We are looking for exceptional talent to join our Property team at Gore Mutual. Joining us will provide you with a unique opportunity to be part of an impactful team, contributing to an evolving industry and a company that is going through an exciting phase.
The Field Claims Advisor is responsible for the in-person full file handling of Property losses where an on-site presence is required by a Gore representative. The Field Claims Advisor investigates, negotiates, and settles losses on-site, completes detailed scopes, and appraises contents and building damage in accordance with operational guidelines. Additional responsibilities include representing the company in Catastrophe Response initiatives, small claims court actions, and acting as a witness on the company's behalf, as well as representing Gore in the appraisal process. In addition, the position acts as a service ambassador, promoting the company image to our policyholders and brokers.
What will you do?
Attend all claims assigned within a designated territory
Investigate, negotiate, and settle losses within set guidelines
Complete detailed building damage scopes
Identify SIU triggers and take necessary action
Identify Subrogation opportunities and refer to the recovery team
Provide support to the desk adjusting team as required
Form part of the Catastrophe team and attend weather events as needed
Act as a service ambassador, promoting the company image to our policyholders and brokers
What will you need to succeed?
Minimum 5 years of Property Adjusting experience required
Minimum 3 years of Field Adjusting experience required
CIP, IICRC, XA, HAAG, WETT designation is nice to have
In-depth understanding of building damage scoping practices
Detailed knowledge of 1st Party Property Coverages
Strong communication skills and de-escalation methodologies
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
Work Arrangement:
This role is a remote field position assigned to a territory servicing the GTHA and/or Kitchener-Waterloo region, with ongoing access to a company vehicle. You will be required to attend our Cambridge or Toronto office once or twice per month.
