Key Responsibilities:
Provide on-site medical coverage for all practices and games (home and away as scheduled).
Assess and manage acute injuries, including concussion recognition and emergency care.
Deliver taping, bracing, and injury-prevention strategies.
Implement and oversee safe return-to-play protocols.
Communicate effectively with coaches, players, and families regarding injury status and care plans.
Maintain accurate documentation of all injuries and treatments.
Qualifications:
Certified Athletic Therapist (CAT(C)) in good standing with the CATA.
Strong background in sport coverage, preferably hockey.
Proficient in emergency care, injury assessment, and sideline decision-making.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Assets:
Prior experience with elite or high-performance hockey athletes.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel with the team.
Compensation:
Honorarium/stipend per game and practice.
Travel expenses covered for away games.
