Kangaroo Contracting Inc. is a Decking and Fence Installation company located in Nanaimo, BC. We are looking to hire an experienced FENCE INSTALLER to join our team!

Job Requirements:

3 or more years Experience A VALID Class 5 Driver's license Experience driving a Van (or Truck) with a trailer Applicant must have a tool belt, hand tools, drill, impact driver and skill saw A RELIABLE and CONSISTENT mode of transportation to and from work yard (own vehicle is preferred) A working cell phone with a plan (we need to be able to get a hold of you during a shift) Clean criminal record check Must be prepared to work outside in any and all-weather conditions and wear appropriate work clothing including steel toe boots and safety vest Must be able to lift, carry, and push equipment and materials Must be sober and smoke free while on shift (includes the use of marijuana and vaping of any kind) Must be familiar with and can operate machines such as cement mixers, augers and or a skid steer loader Must be able to follow basic instructions and complete a daily list of work tasks in a timely manner Must have an attention to detail, be willing to learn, and take pride in their work (and work vehicle) Must be a team player and be trusted to work semi-independently Have some leadership experience (you will have an offsider on some projects to help you that will need direction) Good customer service skills
Executing and working the following daily tasks:

Building wood, metal, custom, deer fence, panel and chainlink fences Set up string lines and layout Lead by example (as in required to dig holes) Load and unload materials from the work vehicle Mixing concrete (sometimes by hand) Picking up materials from suppliers Measuring and cutting materials to size Maintain tools and equipment in good working order Building and installing gates Maintain personal time sheet and client project ledger Reversing a trailer with a spotter Delegate work to offsider Completing post job checklists Ensuring 100% customer satisfaction

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
