Fence Labourer - Part-Time (Opportunity to Lead to Full-Time)

Pacific Fence Co. is hiring a reliable, hardworking Fence Labourer to join our team. We build quality residential and commercial fences across mid-Vancouver Island and are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and is ready to learn a valuable trade.

About the Role

You will assist in the construction and installation of various fence types, including wood, metal, composite, and vinyl. This is a physically demanding, hands-on position that requires attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment Prepare job sites, including digging post holes and mixing concrete Assist in fence layout, installation, and finishing Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow safety procedures and worksite protocols Work efficiently as part of a team and follow direction from lead installers

Requirements

Physically fit and capable of manual labour in all weather conditions Reliable transportation to and from job sites Valid driver's licence Basic experience with hand and power tools is an asset Previous experience in fencing, construction, or landscaping is an asset but not required Positive attitude and willingness to learn on the job

Position Details

Part-time to start, with the opportunity for full-time hours based on performance and workload Competitive hourly wage based on experience Paid training and safety equipment provided Work is based in Nanaimo with projects across Vancouver Island
