We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Female

Private Caregiver

to provide in-home support for a client living in

Bearspaw (Rockyview), NW of Calgary

. This role is focused on ensuring the safety, comfort, and quality of life for an individual with

severe dementia

, a two person assist, while offering reliable weekend coverage.

Position Details

Schedule:

Every weekend, with one weekend off per month

Hours:

Approx. 48 hours per month (with potential for additional hours)

Rate:

$20/hour

Location: Bearspaw (must live within a

25-minute radius

and have your own transportation) Environment:

Pet-friendly home

Responsibilities

Provide assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Support safe mobility and transfers using a lift Offer companionship and emotional support Assist with meal preparation and maintaining a clean, safe environment Monitor changes in client condition and communicate effectively with family/care team Provide specialized dementia care with patience and compassion Deliver palliative comfort care support as needed

Qualifications & Skills

Experience in dementia and memory care is essential; palliative care experience is a strong asset Confident and safe in using lifts/transfer equipment Prior experience in caregiving, home care, or long-term care settings preferred CPR/First Aid certification is an asset German Language an asset

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Calgary, AB T3R 1C7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
