We are seeking a

mechanically inclined and hands-on Field Installation Technician

to join our team in Saint John, NB. This role is primarily field-focused, assisting with installations, and supporting third-party installers. During slower periods, you will help in the office with tasks such as: shop drawings, estimating, and project documentation. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with tools and construction activities, while also being computer literate and detail oriented. Candidates who have proven experience with hands-on installation and familiarity with construction practices are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform installations of architectural specialty products (washroom accessories, partitions, lockers, etc.). Support third-party installers during peak workload periods. Read and interpret shop drawings and ensure installations meet specifications. Document site conditions and communicate updates to the Construction Coordinator. Occasionally assist in the office with material take-offs, basic estimating, updating project files and schedules, procurement duties and related tasks.

Skills & Qualifications:

Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools. Familiarity with construction activities and safety practices. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Basic computer skills incl. Microsoft Office Suite (excel, word, outlook). Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Previous installation experience is an asset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (bilingualism considered an asset).
