Feedlot Technician
Job Description
Namaka is a family run operation that is looking for employees that are interested in being a part of the feedlot / farm crew. Employees will be cross-trained on the various duties of the farm over time. The goal is to have a strong team of employees who are able to support one another.
While experience is appreciated, people without experience are also welcome. Namaka is comfortable with training people who have never been on a farm.
Duties consist of :
1) Feeding and caring for the animal (including Pen Riding)
2) Injecting and treating the cattle,
3) General Maintenance of the facility (fixing fences, water troughs, etc),
4) Planting, spraying and harvesting of crops,
5) The operation and maintenance of equipment (tandem trucks, loaders, tractors, combines, grader, excavator, ...)
6) Construction projects to help facilitate expansion of the feedlot.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Experience:
Livestock: 1 year (preferred)
Farming / Crop: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
