Overview

The Feed Truck Driver is responsible for measuring, mixing and delivering feed rations to cattle in a timely and accurate manner. This role is essential in ensuring cattle health, performance, and overall feedlot efficiency. The Feed Truck Driver is also responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of their feed equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Operate feed truck and other equipment safely and efficiently to deliver feed to pens according to daily schedules Accurately follow ration sheets Perform pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance on feed equipment Maintain accurate records of feed deliveries Report equipment or feeding issues to management Any duties as otherwise assigned

Qualifications

Valid Driver's License (Class 1 or 3 is an asset, but not required) Previous farm, feedlot and/or livestock experience is an asset Ability to operate large equipment safely Strong attention to detail, reliable and committed Ability to work in a team and independently Willingness to learn Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions in a fast-paced agricultural setting Ability to perform physically demanding tasks Strong communication skills
