Chinook Feeders (2024) is currently looking for four (4) Feed Truck Drivers to join our feed crew.

Purpose

The Feed Truck Driver ensures that livestock are properly fed each day by safely operating feed trucks, mixing feed according to rations, and monitoring feed bunks for irregularities. The successful candidate will support the daily feeding program while maintaining accurate records and adhering to safety and biosecurity protocols.

Roles & Responsibilities

Operate and maintain feed trucks safely and efficiently. Load, mix, and deliver feed according to rations and feeding schedules. Record feed deliveries accurately and report discrepancies. Monitor feed bunks and communicate irregularities to management. Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs. Follow all safety and biosecurity protocols. Collaborate with the feedlot team and assist with other duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience operating feed trucks or similar heavy equipment preferred. Valid driver's license (Class 3 or higher preferred). Knowledge of cattle nutrition and feed mixing is an asset. Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform physical tasks. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions. Capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment & Requirements

Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and livestock environments. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks. Extended sitting while operating feed trucks. Clean driver's abstract required.
