Temporary Part-Time(Up to 24 hours per week; must be available to work weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays. Wednesday, Friday and Sunday availability is prioritized)

We are currently seeking an

F&B Outlet Server (AGO Bistro, Espresso Bar & Members' Lounge) Part-Time

to join our

Food and Beverage-Bistro

team. Under the direction of the

Manager, Revenue Outlets Operations and Services, F&B,

the incumbent will execute and provide support for the service for the AGO Bistro, Espresso Bar, and Members' Lounge with great attention to food & beverage presentation, sales, and guest experience.

The rate of pay for this position is $18.71 - $23.28 per hour


What is this position responsible for?

Greets customers, provides a standard of high-quality service at table and/or counter, takes and assists with all food & beverage orders, prepares and plates products as required, serves customers. Operates point of sale system and correctly manages payments. Acts as an ambassador of the gallery. Cleans and busses tables, bars, chairs and stools. Prepares the assigned areas for opening; ensures cleanliness, order and readiness of equipment, tables, chairs, stations and systems. Assists Food & Beverage managers with monitoring stock and requisitions supplies for the designated areas as required Prepares daily deposit sheet; records cash, credit cards, and internal accounts; balances and checks receipts Cleans all work preparation and work surfaces, service equipment, display cabinets and storerooms/areas within assigned areas. Stocks workstations and server with relevant supplies. Returns food & beverage product to respective kitchens and storage areas as required. Reports and/or responds to maintenance deficiencies, customer comments, complaints, and feedback to food & beverage managers. Responds to inquiries regarding the food & beverage department and other areas of the gallery e.g. exhibitions, wayfinding etc. Learns and understands all aspects of menus and food and beverage offer in assigned areas, including knowledge of frequent allergies and intolerances

What are we looking for?

Minimum of 2 years of experience within an innovative quality-based restaurant and/or cafe with similar operations. Directly related experience with table service and high-quality coffee/beverage preparation. Well-developed communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge of food & beverage products, techniques and practices. Working knowledge of general food & beverage preparation and presentation. Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to operate a point-of-sale system including debit and credit transactions. Demonstrated understanding of food & beverage health and safety standards. Smart Serve certification.
